Notes on Rotational Viscometers
Notes on rotational viscometers:
It is carried out at the specified temperature, because the temperature has a very important influence on the measured value.
The liquid to be tested must not have a large number of air bubbles.
Be sure to change the speed while the motor is running.
The connecting screw and rotor should be kept clean, otherwise it will affect the correct connection and rotation stability of the rotor.
The rotor should be cleaned in time every time it is used up (do not clean it on the instrument), and there should be no situation where it is not cleaned when it is used up, otherwise it will affect the next measurement result.
Basic steps of rotational viscometer operation:
Prepare the sample to be tested and place it in a beaker or container with a diameter of not less than 70mm to accurately control the temperature of the liquid. When the temperature is adjusted to the right, the measurement is ready.
Before the measurement, check whether the bubbles on the viscometer are in the middle position, if not, set "0".
Turn the left and right adjustment knobs to adjust the bubbles to the middle position, which can be measured.
Rotate the optional rotor into the connecting screw and rotate the lifting knob. The instrument is lowered slowly, and the rotor is gradually immersed in the liquid to be measured, until the liquid level mark of the rotor is flush with the liquid level, and the switch is turned on to adjust the appropriate speed for measurement.
When the pointer becomes stable, press the pointer control switch to read.
Obtain the result according to the calculation formula such as the rotation coefficient
